Head Start California is excited to announce our participation in GivingTuesday this year!

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that began in 2012 to encourage people to do good. It has since grown into a worldwide movement inspiring millions to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. This year, GivingTuesday falls on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Support Head Start California’s mission by giving time—volunteer locally, spread awareness on social media, or organize donation drives for educational supplies. Show gratitude by sharing stories or messages of appreciation for the teachers and caregivers who make a difference. Who we are

Head Start California is the premier advocacy organization for Head Start agencies throughout California. We advocate for our members at the federal, state and local level to secure more funding, achieve beneficial policy changes and better serve California’s children aged 0-5 who are most at-risk. The National Head Start Association’s (NHSA) vision is to lead – to be the untiring voice that will not be quiet until every vulnerable child is served with the Head Start model of support for the whole child, the family and the community – and to advocate – to work diligently for policy and institutional changes that ensure all vulnerable children and families have what they need to succeed.
