Why should your program join Head Start California?

“Head Start needs support from state and federal workers in order to continue our mission of preparing children and families for success in Kindergarten and in life. Head Start California recognizes and supports this mission and provides a unified voice for all Head Start agencies in California. Collaboration with Head Start California and state and federal leaders will allow Head Start agencies like E Center to continue the great work we do in building healthy children, families and communities.”"

E Center Head Start"

“Head Start provided my daughter with a caring center, patient teachers and safe and positive environment. When entering TK, and Kindergarten she was ready for school and is often ahead of other peers. My daughter is now in 2nd grade and her teachers in 1st and 2nd have prepared me for GATE classes for her as she is advanced, a fluent reader, models perfect attendance and has amazing leadership qualities. I thank Head Start for these building blocks. We cried when left the program as we felt so connected to all of the wonderful center staff. Also, my daughter’s best friend in the classroom was visually impaired. This taught her empathy, compassion and understanding.”"
