The HSC Board of Directors is comprised of two representatives from nine geographic Clusters as well as representatives from Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Programs and Tribal Programs. Cluster representatives serve as members of the Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Each Spring, the Board of Directors invites nominations for Cluster Representatives on a rotating schedule to ensure a healthy balance of stability and new perspectives. In 2023-24, the Board welcomes Juan Cisneros and Michelle Dove as new members. Juan comes from Child Start, Inc. and will represent Cluster VII (North Coast) along with Miriam McNamara. Michelle comes from Kings Community Action and will represent the Migrant and Seasonal Cluster, along with Jodie Keller. The Head Start community is fortunate to have dedicated professionals like Juan and Michelle who are willing to share their passion for Head Start with the broader Head Start community.
All Head Start members are encouraged to be involved in Cluster activities. If you are interested in being involved beyond your Cluster, consider serving on a Head Start Committee or on the Board of Directors. Your voice is welcome! It’s a great group of people working together to advance a great mission! Contact us today.
